Be Ever so Still
Love came down to be Light in the dark,
Be still, do you see Him as the lights twinkle bright?
The promised King stepped down from His heavenly throne,
Be still, behold the Christ Child swaddled in love.
Not a palace of gold but a manager of straw,
Be still, awaken to wonder of majestic meekness resting low.
Oh holy night when hope was born,
Be still, prepare your heart for the sacred unfolding.
Born to die and be Savior is the reason He came,
Be still, inhale the gift of beautiful life found in Him.
Gracious God sent His one and only perfect Son,
Be still, feel the warmth of heaven shining down.
The stars and the sky and the mountains so mighty,
Point to the One whose love glistens ever so brightly.
He came down to breathe life into every dark space,
Beauty rises from ashes for the Son took our place.
Take heart, dear soul, and do not fear,
Joy to the world, the Prince of Peace is near.
Be ever so still.
Be ever so still and know.
Be ever so still and know that He is God Almighty.
Immanuel – God with us.
Receive the gift of the Beautiful Baby cooing love,
Rest in His tender embrace, be ever so still.
